CAGED LION

Her anger was a lion, she’d been told to cage him in.
All day he’d pace by her toothy gates,
Would drool behind her eyes.
He raged within her stomach
Clawing to break out.
On routine would rip her insides
But she would never shout.

Her anger was a lion, she’d been told to cage him in.
Still was lazy with the key one day
And he ran out like the wind.
For years his grunts were muffled
But now they heard him roar!
It was loud and full of passion
No longer internal gore.

Now she keeps him on a leash instead
And on regular let’s him play.
Both lion and herself, are cageless since that day.
