Professor BN Goswamy decodes a series of hitherto un-identified Pahari paintings from the Kedara Kalpa manuscript, a relatively unknown Shaivite text from Rajasthan. The paintings depict the journey of five pilgrims through uncharted territory to have a darshanof Shiva in Kailash. From snow capped frontiers to golden stretches of land, the uncommon resolve in the minds of pilgrims to the feeling of triumph at the end of the expedition, traverse a range of geographical, emotional, and spiritual terrains in this illustrated lecture based on A Sacred Journey, authored by Karuna Goswamy & BN Goswamy.
This is a physical event in collaboration with the Bangalore International Centre.
