“How Can We Honour the Past Without Letting Its Wounds Destroy Us?”

Iffat Nawaz, author of “Shurjo’s Clan,” a freshly released book by Penguin, will be doing a reading and exploration at Janaki. She will engage with the audience using short writing exercises which aim to bring to light the parts of us waiting to be exposed and offered up. This intimate session aspires to connect through spoken and unspoken words, using writing, reading, and sharing a cup of tea or two.

“Iffat Nawaz’s “Shurjo’s Clan” is a testament to her brilliance as an author as she presents a precise yet inventive retelling of the history of Partition. “ – The Telegraph

“Shurjo’s Clan” will be available for purchase at the Venue and you will have the opportunity to get it signed by the author herself 🙌🏾
