African Film Festival Inc.’s flagship program, the annual New York African Film Festival (NYAFF), is curated around timely themes, and is presented in collaboration with Film at Lincoln Center, Maysles Cinema and the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s BAMcinématek. The festival, which runs for three weeks in the spring, showcases over fifty classic and contemporary films, including rarely seen archival films. Screenings are followed by discussions with the filmmakers and/or cultural experts, as well as performances and public talks.
