The Pavilion of Tibetan Culture Invites you for a discussion on Claude Arpi’s latest book.

Saturday, October 21 at 5:15 pm

The event will be moderated by Lt Gen Ashok Chatterjee, former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command of the Indian Army. Post retirement, he became a member of Auroville.

The book was originally launched at the United Service Institution of India in Delhi on September 7, 2017 by Mr Shivshankar Menon, former National Security Adviser and Foreign Secretary.

About the Book: Tibet’s system of governance had serious lacunas, but the Land of Snows was free and independent in October 1950, when Mao’s regime decided to ‘liberate’ it. ‘Liberate’ from what, was the question.
